What I've Done
I'm a pro at herding cats, dealing with divas, and finding great local restaurants. I've achieved other things too, see below.
2005 - 2008
2005 | Moved to Las Vegas, watched as MySpace started changing the way people connected and were discovered
2006 | Early adopter on Twitter before Shaq made it hip; watched as Facebook opened it’s doors in the fall to anyone over 13 and was the crazy person telling people this will be the new way to interface and connect in realtime with consumers
2007 | Began diving into consumer behavior and the new trend of receiving information quickly. Launched and managed the first of many business pages for a construction firm.
2008 | By providing the content I wanted to see personally (photos of new renovations, behind the scenes of how things are built, etc. over selling services) I helped grow the fan base to over 5,000 in a short time.
2010-2013
2010 | Because of the recession, Construction was a rough industry to work in. I found a home at a family-owned general contractor. I utilized Google Adwords and social media outreach to help this ailing company bounce back. With that, I was able to increase revenue by 28%
2011 | Construction company moved to Boston, I stayed in Las Vegas. Took a position with my current company (previously known as Women’s Specialty Care) as the social media specialist. Within two months I turned a dormant social and web presence into one that produced traffic and informed women of their health needs. We became the local go to experts for the media.
2012 | Was asked to spearhead a comprehensive rebrand and education strategy for a new Affordable Care Act (ACA) guideline healthcare company. Everything from new logos to how the media and general public perceived us was my responsibility.
2013 | Designed and directed creative for company launch. Organized media and community physician mixers on a bi-monthly basis, continued to outreach and push messaging of the ACA and new healthcare regulations through social media.
2014-2017
2014 | Designed the first local healthcare mobile application for android and apple users (WellHealth Quality Care) with the mission to bring the emotion and personal touch to the forefront. The app is able to schedule appointments, have full bios for over 800 network doctors, and was connected to our content platform. This is also the year I launched My.WellHealthQC.com a patient stopping point to learn more about healthcare diagnosis, doctors in the Las Vegas Valley, etc. I also on-boarded and opened clinics and physicians (two clinics and twelve doctors in one year) by providing a full branding and communication strategy for each of them.
2015 | Published first quarterly magazine CareConnection, a magazine reaching out to local doctors and showcasing the positive side of medicine in Las Vegas. The magazine was received by over 60,000 patients and now is sent to over 85,000 patients directly, and is in 100 doctors’ offices in Las Vegas. My role in addition to editor is to write, create layouts, direct placement, find stories, and make sure the brand is managed throughout.
2016 | Jumped into an ailing Teachers Insurance Company (Teachers Health Trust) to create a strategic communication plan. I started with the basics, a new website, Facebook (grew from 100 to over 1,000 in less than a year organically), and a robust email/school mail schedule. I organized four large healthcare events throughout the community, which drew in hundreds of teachers and the local media. See examples of health fairs here and here.
2017 | Currently assisting with communication internally and externally, as well as a major rebrand project during the merger of WellHealth Quality Care and DaVita Medical Group, a publicly traded international healthcare company.
Other Notable Achievements:
Managed multiple medical office marketing budgets.
Increased average stay of 6-8 minutes on a website from previous 1 minute based on my content marketing strategy. See website here.
Formed and created WellHealth Cares, a philanthropy group which gave over 500 hours of local community service and raised money toward supporting teachers classrooms. Examples can be found here, here and here.
